Our Best Starts with You!
At Advara HeartCare, we’re building something important. Something special.
For more than 20 years, our Australian-owned business has developed a proud reputation based on quality outcomes and patient care. We’re the largest cardiology provider in Australia, with more than 90 centres and 100 doctors. Now, we’re shaping a future where world‑class care is the standard of care.
We can’t achieve this without our incredible people. That’s why we’re creating a workplace and culture where you can truly thrive.
Your Impact, With Us
As our valued Medical Secretary/Receptionist, you’ll provide warm, professional, and efficient administrative support. The position will be predominantly based at our Rockingham clinic, with travel to our Wexford clinics required. Your skills and expertise will assist in providing quality care to patients with a wide range of cardiovascular conditions. On occasion, you may be required to provide short-term administrative relief at these practices.
You’ll be the first point of contact for many of our patients, helping ensure their experience is smooth, respectful, and informed — making a meaningful difference from the moment they walk through the door.
Key Qualifications and Skills
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a medical secretary role including coordinating a specialist’s schedule, bookings, running clinics and providing a PA service to the specialists
- Strong medical terminology and cardiology terminology (desirable)
- Competent in the use of medical management software (we use HealthTrack)
- Highly organised, able to multitask, prioritise and work under pressure
- High level written and verbal communication skills
- Liaising effectively with all stakeholders including hospital and health care providers
- Good attention to detail and well-developed computer literacy
- Issuing patient invoices and receipts, patient quotes, attending to account enquiries, billing Medicare, DVA and health funds
