About the Role

We are seeking a technically capable and commercially aware Pre-Sales and Estimations Specialist based in Melbourne, primarily supporting our growing Renewables and Cyber Security business streams.

This role sits at the centre of our sales process, where you will take ownership of developing high-quality, fit-for-purpose solutions that support strong commercial outcomes. Working closely with Business Development Managers, engineers, and supply chain partners, you will play a key role in shaping opportunities into well-structured, compelling proposals.

You will be responsible for navigating the full estimation process - interpreting customer requirements, engaging with suppliers, building accurate pricing models, and contributing to the development of competitive, solution-led offers.

This role will suit someone who:

* Has a proven ability to develop structured, technically sound solutions within industrial or technology environments
* Is confident working through the end-to-end estimation process, particularly in Cyber, OT or Renewables-focused projects and enjoys engaging with suppliers and partners to build up accurate, competitive pricing and solution inputs
* Is detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple tenders and quotations concurrently
* Is proactive, curious, and driven to continuously improve both technical and commercial capability

Key Responsibilities

* Read and interpret Expressions of Interest, tenders, and quotation requests, developing structured and competitive responses
* Prepare accurate estimates and pricing for projects, ensuring alignment with customer specifications and requirements
* Work closely with BDMs, engineers and suppliers to develop fit-for-purpose technical solutions
* Maintain awareness of market trends, technologies and competitor activity
* Ensure smooth handover of successful opportunities to the delivery team for execution
* Contribute to a coordinated sales approach across estimating, sales and engineering teams

About You

To succeed in this role, you bring a combination of technical curiosity and commercial awareness, and a strong desire to learn and grow into a customer-facing role.

You are someone who takes initiative, enjoys problem-solving, and is motivated to build both technical expertise and sales capability.

You will bring:

* A background or strong interest in Cyber, OT or Renewables-focused projects or related engineering fields
* The ability to understand technical requirements and contribute to the development of practical solutions
* A proactive and motivated mindset, with a willingness to take ownership of tasks and follow them through to completion
* Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to learn from experienced engineers and BDMs
* An interest in renewables, energy transition and industrial cyber security environments
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams
* Good organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
