We are seeking a dynamic and visionary ELC Director to lead our faith-based early learning centre, where children aged 3-5 are nurtured, valued, and empowered to thrive.
The role of ELC Director is a tenured (3-year) Position of Responsibility, underpinned by a permanent position at King’s. The incumbent can apply for an extension to this tenure if desired.
The role commences in June 2025.
Key Responsibilities
1. Leadership & Vision – Inspire and mentor educators, fostering a faith-based, child-centred learning culture.
2. Operations & Compliance – Oversee centre operations, ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and standards.
3. Teaching & Learning – Drive curriculum excellence based on Reggio Emilia principles and aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) .
4. Pastoral Care & Community Engagement – Build relationships with families and the community to enhance impact.
5. Staff & Performance Management – Lead recruitment, training, and professional development.
6. Health, Safety & Wellbeing – Maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive environment.

Minimum Qualifications and Experience
1. Bachelor or Degree in Early Childhood Teaching or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (ACECQA approved), with management experience.
2. Knowledge of the National Quality Framework and Standards and Early Years Learning Framework .
3. Experience developing curriculum aligned with the EYLF and NQF, incorporating Reggio Emilia principles.
4. Understanding of statutory requirements, licensing, and legislation related to children’s services.
5. Proven leadership skills to supervise and develop staff.
6. Deep understanding of children’s developmental needs.
7. Knowledge of Work Health and Safety legislation.
8. Current HLTAID004 First Aid, mandatory notification certification, and Working with Children Check.
