AWAHS is seeking a dedicated Child and Family Health Nurse to deliver culturally sensitive, community-based care to Aboriginal children (0–6 years) and their families across the Albury Wodonga region. Join a multidisciplinary Maternal team committed to providing first-class, holistic health care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver universal and sustained home visiting programs to families with newborns
* Conduct health surveillance and screening for children aged 0–6
* Support parenting through education, counselling, and group sessions
* Promote early intervention and health promotion
* Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to deliver integrated care
* Participate in immunisation programs
* Advocate for culturally safe healthcare practices and environments
What You’ll Bring:
* Registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
* Graduate Certificate in Child and Family Health Nursing (or equivalent)
* Desirable: Midwifery registration and postgraduate qualifications in Child and Family Health
* Experience working with Aboriginal communities and a commitment to community development
* Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills
* Current driver’s licence and clearances (WWCC, Police Check)
