About the role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Life Insurance Administrator to oversee the administration of life insurance applications and suspense within our client's business. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of life insurance products, regulatory requirements, and administrative processes. This position requires someone who can manage workflows effectively, streamline processes and ensure compliance, and maintain a high level of service to clients and the sales team. In a fast-paced, phone-based environment, this position is suited to someone with exceptional phone manner and rapport-building skills.
A few of your responsibilities:
* Oversee the full lifecycle of life insurance policy administration, including new business applications, underwriting requirements, policy changes, claims processing, dishonours and policy renewals.
* Ensure all policies are processed accurately and in compliance with industry regulations, and best practices.
* Work with underwriters, superannuation funds, advisers, paramedical service providers and clients to resolve any application and/or policy-related matters.
* Provide dedicated support to a specific panel of advisers to ensure completion of their client policies and utilisation of the CRM.
* Ensure adherence to all regulatory requirements and internal policies related to life insurance administration.
* Continuously assess existing processes and identify opportunities for automation, improvement, and efficiency gains.
* Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance underwriters, advisers and service personnel to maintain efficiency standards.
* Handle inbound and outbound client calls and email enquiries.
* Provide senior management with insights and recommendations for enhancing operational efficiency and the client experience.
Who we're looking for:
* Minimum of 3 years of experience in life insurance administration
* In-depth knowledge of life insurance products, policy administration, and regulatory requirements
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Highly motivated, self-starter with the ability to work independently
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
* Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric approach to service delivery
* Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident of Australia
