WT Sydney is expanding and in line with this continued growth of operations, and due to significant growth and ongoing delivery success with our clients, we're on the lookout for qualified and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyors to join our Data Center team.
In this role, you'll play a key role in delivering major, complex projects while driving value for our clients. This client-facing role covers estimating, cost management, financial reporting, and stakeholder engagement, with the opportunity to showcase your technical expertise and commercial acumen. We're looking for someone who thrives on collaboration, enjoys working with stakeholder-rich clients, and is ready to take a ownership on projects and within the team It's an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior QS seeking broader challenges, or for a proven Quantity Surveyor ready to step up and make their mark with a leading consultancy.
Key Responsibilities
Liaising with clients, architects and main contractors
Identifying and facilitating new business opportunities
Master-plan and feasibility budgets
Cost checking of developing design
Tender evaluations and analysis
Cash flow projects
Procurement
Cost reporting
Evaluation of variations
Valuations
Final account reporting
Claims preparation, presentation, negotiation and settlement of claims
Investment analysis
Formulating and implementing benchmarking processes to improve the consistency, accuracy and time to prepare cost models and plans
About You
Relevant tertiary qualification in any of the following areas: Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering or Construction Management
Data Center experience will be highly regarded
Experience working with and supporting Directors
Highly motivated with a passion for delivering excellence to clients
Full Australian working rights and currently located in Australia
RICS / AIQS accredited candidates will be highly regarded
Proficient in the use of Cost X
Ability to produce both top down and bottom up cost plans
A thorough understanding of the total project life cycle, from conception, through to completion and post-project review
