Join a Regional council as a Senior Water & Sewer Operator. Local Government offer 35 hours per week, flexible start and finish times, RDO's and stability in contract roles with potential for extension or transition into a permanent role. This local Council is intending to transition to role into a permanent opportunity.
ABOUT THE POSITION
As a Senior Water & Sewer Operator you will operate and maintain Council's water and wastewater treatment systems, networks, pump stations, SCADA, and equipment to maintain compliance with health, environmental and customer service standards. This role includes manual labour by operating mobile and fixed plant & equipment to clearing wastewater. You may be required to perform your role with call out rotation and working weekends/public holidays.
DUTIES
* Operate water and sewer treatment plants including testing, dosing, maintenance and repair
* Ensure record keeping as per Australian Drinking Water Guidelines
* Assist with preparation and review of operational, maintenance, environmental, and WH&S procedures
* Source and order equipment, materials and parts as approved with delegation
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
* Certificate III Water Industry Operations
* Hold and retain NSW HR Licence and White Card
* Proven commitment to work in a collaborative team
* Knowledge of mechanical operation of water and wastewater treatment networks
