Drive cloud architecture, automation and GovAI integration in a large federal cloud uplift program.
Your new company
We are supporting a major federal government organisation undergoing a multi‑year cloud, AI and digital uplift. The program is maturing cloud engineering capability, modernising legacy environments and introducing whole‑of‑government GovAI platforms.
You will join the organisation's cloud and AI engineering function on a long‑term engagement until 30 June 2026, with potential extensions available. Hybrid arrangements are available across ACT, QLD, NSW, VIC, WA, TAS and SA.
You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain Baseline clearance.
Your new role
As a Senior Cloud Engineer (EL1 equivalent), you will provide high‑level technical leadership across cloud architecture, engineering patterns and AI‑enabled capability. This role is pivotal in setting cloud direction, establishing standards and guiding the adoption of secure, scalable cloud services across a multi‑cloud ecosystem.
Under the direction of the AI Delivery Team Director, you will lead cloud engineering for AI proof‑of‑concepts and product deployments. You will shape DVA's pattern‑based approach to cloud engineering and play a key role in integrating GovAI platforms from the Department of Finance with existing AWS environments.
This position offers the opportunity to influence strategic cloud direction, mentor engineering teams and lead complex, high‑visibility initiatives.
