About the opportunity: Are you passionate about driving excellence and ensuring the highest standards in engineering delivery? As a Quality Engineer you will assist the Completions Manager in the Project Delivery of Operational Readiness, Configuration Management, Delivery and Handover of the program of works within scheduled timeframes, meeting quality expectations and within a safe manner.
Responsibilities
* Quality Assurance & Compliance: Review and approve contractor quality documentation, including management plans, audit programs, and reporting metrics.
* Quality Assurance & Compliance: Assess quality records for design and construction deliverables, ensuring compliance and completeness.
* Quality Assurance & Compliance: Monitor non-conformance reports (NCRs), lot status, and operational readiness deliverables.
* Quality Assurance & Compliance: Conduct competency checks to verify personnel qualifications and training.
* Quality Assurance & Compliance: Release hold and witness points, ensuring proper notification and documentation.
* Operational Readiness & Handover: Maintain Deliverable Tracking Registers.
* Operational Readiness & Handover: Maintain lessons learnt registers and support continuous improvement.
* Operational Readiness & Handover: Liaise with stakeholders and third parties on quality and handover activities.
* Operational Readiness & Handover: Participate in defect walks, acceptance and closeout of defect registers and assist with phase gate closeouts.
* Operational Readiness & Handover: Review contractor operational readiness and handover deliverables.
* Operational Readiness & Handover: Support configuration change management and documentation for the Configuration Change Board.
* Project Coordination & Performance: Coordinate inputs from internal disciplines to align with contractor activities.
* Project Coordination & Performance: Review contractor safety, construction, and quality documentation for compliance.
* Project Coordination & Performance: Monitor project performance against KPIs and assist in resolving site-related issues.
* Project Coordination & Performance: Conduct site inspections and support the delivery of A2P Enhancement projects.
* Project Coordination & Performance: Assist with scope deviation reporting and configuration change documentation.
About you

Qualifications
* Degree in civil engineering or equivalent qualifications.
* Proven experience in quality assurance and implementation within major infrastructure projects.
* Knowledge of work health and safety principles and relevant rail safety legislation.
* Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
* Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
* Commercial awareness and ability to manage compliance risks.
* Valid Class C Driver's Licence and willingness to travel to site as needed.
