North Queensland X-Ray Services Townsville is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Clinical Assistant to join our multi-modality group.
The successful candidate will work as part of a team of skilled professionals within a stimulating environment as well as have the opportunity for ongoing professional development and training.
This is a full-time position.
Duties include:
• Providing the highest level of care to patients as well as;
• Greeting and assisting patients to change into gowns and prepare for examinations
• Providing support to Medical Imaging Clinical staff
• Assisting Radiologists with scans and interventional imaging procedures
• Act as a Chaperone for clinical examinations as required
• Maintaining stock and cleanliness of the work area you are assigned to
• General Administration and reception
Experience and skill set required:
• Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, staff, and other medical and non-medical personnel
• Good organisational skills and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks
• Strong work ethic and commitment to the culture and values of the company
• Confidentiality
• Ability to adapt and respond to change
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adequately anticipate the needs of patients, clinical staff and Radiologists
• Familiarity with current RIS/PACS systems desirable
• Formal qualifications such as a Certificate 3 Health Services Assistant or Certificate 3 Medical Practice Assisting highly desirable, but not essential.
Remuneration is dependent on the candidate’s level of experience.
