The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills. They will have a strong understanding of the construction industry and experience in developing new business opportunities within either the government, education, housing, or commercial sectors.
This role will involve working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to identify and pursue high-potential opportunities across key industry sectors. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering compelling sales calls and presentations to communicate Fleetwood's value proposition, negotiating and explaining complex project concepts to a range of internal and external stakeholders, and supporting the execution of Fleetwood's sales strategy.
The Business Development Manager will also be expected to develop and implement strategic plans through research, market analysis, and customer needs assessment. Additionally, they will monitor competitor practices and pricing to shape effective sales and marketing strategies, assist in building strong, personalized customer relationships to enhance satisfaction and maximize profitability, and collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to lead solution development that meets customer requirements.
To succeed in this role, the candidate must have a minimum 4-5 years' experience in a similar role in modular building or comparable commercial construction industry, with proven business development experience in the construction industry. They should also have experience within modular construction, as well as outstanding interpersonal and relationship management skills, and demonstrated ability to prepare detailed tender submissions.
