We are seeking an experienced and motivated Green Organics Supervisor to join our team servicing long-term contracts across the Gold Coast region. This hands‐on leadership role is responsible for coordinating green waste processing, transport, and resource recovery activities across multiple sites, ensuring safe, efficient, and compliant operations. Key Responsibilities
Lead daily green organics processing, transport, and resource recovery operations across multiple sites
Coordinate labour, plant, equipment, and transport resources to meet operational requirements
Manage shredding, loading, haulage, stockpile management, and material processing activities
Ensure stockpile ageing and site management requirements are achieved
Monitor operational performance, productivity, and service delivery outcomes
Coordinate with collection contractors, site operators, and customers to maintain efficient operations
Manage operational issues and implement practical solutions to minimise disruptions
Support mobilisation of equipment and resources during seasonal peaks and changing workloads
Oversee contamination management and reporting processes
Complete operational reporting and performance monitoring requirements
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across processing and logistics operations
Safety & Compliance
Promote and maintain a strong safety culture across all operations
Ensure compliance with WHS legislation, environmental requirements, and site‐specific procedures
Conduct and participate in risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions
Ensure plant and equipment are operated and maintained safely
Monitor compliance with operational procedures, permits, and contractor requirements
Support emergency response and incident management processes
Resource & Asset Management
Coordinate utilisation of shredders, loaders, excavators, and transport assets
Work closely with maintenance teams to manage preventative maintenance programmes
Assist with equipment breakdown response and operational contingency planning
Monitor asset performance and identify opportunities for improved utilisation
Ensure equipment inspections and operational checks are completed as required
About You
Demonstrated experience in waste, recycling, organics processing, transport, quarrying, civil construction, or a similar heavy industry environment
Proven experience leading operational teams and coordinating field‐based personnel
Strong understanding of plant, equipment, and transport operations
Sound knowledge of workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance requirements
Strong organisational, planning, and problem‐solving skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities across several operational sites
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Reliable, adaptable, and proactive approach to leadership
Green waste, composting, or organics recovery operations
Contract performance management
Weighbridge systems and waste tracking processes
Heavy equipment and transport fleet management
Multi‐site operational leadership experience
Project mobilisation or start‐up experience
Qualifications
Relevant qualification in Operations Management, Environmental Management, Engineering, or similar (preferred)
Equivalent industry experience will be considered
WHS qualifications highly regarded
Heavy vehicle or mobile plant competencies advantageous
