About the Role
">
* The Senior Geologist will oversee daily exploration activities, supervise field teams, and ensure geological support functions are completed to a high standard.
* Responsibilities include planning, executing, and interpreting exploration programs, as well as tracking and managing exploration costs.
* The ideal candidate will hold a tertiary qualification in Geology and have at least 5 years relevant exploration or production experience.
* Proven experience in managing drill programs, mentoring geological teams, and working within heritage frameworks is essential.
* A strong understanding of orogenic gold systems, structural geology, and exploration targeting is also required.
* Proficiency in 3D modelling software, such as Datamine Studio EM/RM, and a willingness to travel to site are also essential skills.

Key Responsibilities
">
1. Oversee daily exploration activities, including drilling progress, and consult with senior staff as needed.
2. Supervise, schedule, and support field teams in logging RAB/AC, RC, and diamond core, as well as carrying out sampling, reconnaissance, and geophysical programs.
3. Ensure geological support functions such as sampling and dispatch are completed to a high standard in collaboration with Project Geologists.
4. Assist in the preparation of exploration budgets and programs in support of management planning.
5. Track and manage exploration costs by maintaining accurate records of drilling and field activities to support monthly reporting and invoicing.
6. Contribute to the completion of periodic reports (weekly, monthly, annual, and Ore Reserve) and ensure high-quality outputs.
7. Compile and evaluate QA/QC results, discussing findings with senior geologists and contributing to monthly reporting.
8. Drive new exploration opportunities by analysing geological, geochemical, geophysical, and drilling data, and actively seeking out valuable data sources.

Requirements

* Tertiary qualification in Geology (preferably with Honours or a Master's degree)
* At least 5 years relevant exploration or production experience
* Strong understanding of orogenic gold systems, structural geology, and exploration targeting
* Proven experience managing drill programs, mentoring geological teams, and working within heritage frameworks
* Proficiency in 3D modelling software (preferably Datamine Studio EM/RM)
* Willingness to travel to site
