Maintenance 2IC – Cold Storage & Automated Warehouse
Temp to Perm Arrangement
Location: Truganina
Hours: 6:00am – 2:00pm (flexibility required)
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance 2IC to join our team in a cold storage environment. This role will initially be based at our current facility, with the expectation to transition to our new site once completed. At the new site, you'll be trained in operating and maintaining advanced robotics and warehouse automation equipment.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Assisting with the installation of new equipment and infrastructure.
* Operating tools and equipment including drills, hammer drills, power saws, grinders, blow torch, vice, blower, trimmer, mower, and more.
* Performing general maintenance, handyman repairs, and racking beam replacements.
* MIG welding (gasless welder) and metal cutting previous experience a MUST
* Maintaining site grounds – mowing, trimming, hedging, and gardening.
* Carrying out basic repairs on robotic and automated warehouse systems, depalletisers, airlock doors, balers, panel doors, pallet wrappers, lighting, and panelling (training provided where needed).
* Monitoring and reporting on freezer machinery, forklift batteries, and other equipment.
* Coordinating and supervising external contractors.
* Assisting with general warehouse tasks – moving boxes, emptying bins, cleaning.
* Operating warehouse equipment – tugger, pallet jack, forklift.
* Loading and unloading trucks.
What We're Looking For:
* Solid maintenance experience in an industrial or warehouse environment.
* MIG welding (gasless) and metal cutting skills.
* Proficiency with power tools and general repairs.
* Forklift licence (essential).
* Current driver's licence.
* Experience in robotics or automated warehouses (highly regarded but not essential).
* Flexible, proactive, and willing to roll up your sleeves.
