Our client is a large, complex enterprise operating at significant scale, supporting critical systems and services used by millions of customers. With a strong focus on digital transformation, cloud adoption, and emerging technologies, they are investing heavily in strengthening their cyber security posture across multiple strategic initiatives.
Due to sustained demand, they currently have 10–15 Security Architect roles available and are seeking experienced professionals who can operate hands‐on in fast‐moving, enterprise environments.
About the Role
As a Security Architect, you will play a pivotal role in shaping secure, resilient, and future‐ready solutions across major technology programs. You will act as a trusted advisor, embedding security architecture and standards into solution design while balancing risk, delivery, and business outcomes.
This role is suited to hands‐on Security Architects who have personally delivered architecture assessments and secure solution designs — not those operating purely at a governance or oversight level.
You will work closely with enterprise architects, engineers, delivery teams, vendors, and senior stakeholders to ensure security is designed in from the outset and aligned to the broader Cyber Security Strategy.
Key responsibilities include:
* Defining and governing security architectures across large‐scale initiatives
* Conducting hands‐on security architecture and solution assessments
* Ensuring alignment with security policies, principles, and risk frameworks
* Leading security quality assurance activities and supporting operational readiness
* Embedding appropriate security controls into system and solution designs
* Evaluating new security technologies and contributing to capability roadmaps
* Creating reusable security patterns and frameworks to accelerate delivery
* Translating technical risk into clear business context to support decision‐making
* Contributing to enterprise security strategy, standards, and best practice
The Successful Candidate
You are a seasoned Security Architect who enjoys solving complex problems and working through ambiguity. You are comfortable engaging at both technical and executive levels and have a proven track record of delivering secure architectures at enterprise scale.
You will bring:
* 5+ years' experience in complex security architecture and solution design
* Strong hands‐on experience conducting security architecture assessments
* Deep knowledge of security requirements, control definition, and solution risk assessment
* Experience designing and assessing secure enterprise‐scale solutions
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to articulate risk and trade‐offs clearly
* The ability to work effectively across multiple stakeholders and delivery teams
Nice to Have (but not essential)
* Experience with service‐oriented and RESTful architectures
* Strong exposure to secure cloud‐based solutions (AWS and/or Azure)
* Familiarity with AI/ML security concepts, including generative and agentic AI
Certifications That Will Be Highly Regarded
* Security / Risk: CISSP, CISM, CRISC, SABSA
* Cloud: CCSP, AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure
