A dynamic and innovative role has become available within a prestigious organization. We are seeking an experienced Senior Lawyer to manage a mixed litigation and advisory practice, encompassing various areas of law relevant to the organization's Dispute Resolution function.
The successful candidate will have a strong passion for the law and a desire to make a meaningful impact by working on complex legal issues of national importance. Key requirements include:
* A minimum of 5 years' post-qualification experience (PQE) for Executive Level 1 roles and 7 years' PQE for Executive Level 2 roles
* Substantial experience in Commonwealth employment law and industrial relations law, including a deep understanding of the Public Service Act 1999 and Fair Work Act 2009
* Experience from private practice, in-house or from a department or agency's legal team is highly regarded
* Excellent knowledge of administrative law principles
The role involves providing expert representation and advice on a range of employment/industrial relations/work health and safety law matters, as well as opportunities to support community interests through pro bono work and undertake litigation in other relevant areas of law.
