About the role
As a ServiceNow Technical Developer at the University of Melbourne, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing and maintaining the institution's strategic enterprise service management platform. You will design and develop innovative ServiceNow applications, provide platform upgrades, and collaborate with diverse teams to deliver complex solutions.
Responsibilities
* Application Development: Design and develop custom ServiceNow applications, including business rules, client scripts, and workflows to meet complex business requirements.
* Platform Management: Coordinate ServiceNow upgrades, releases, and patches across production and non-production environments, ensuring system integrity and auditability.
* Continuous Improvement: Monitor platform performance, implement preventative maintenance, and lead enhancements to meet high client satisfaction KPIs.
* Collaboration: Work closely with scrum teams and stakeholders across the university to plan, design, and implement complex ServiceNow solutions.
Qualifications and Experience
* Certified ServiceNow Application Developer with extensive experience in large-scale implementations.
* Relevant ServiceNow certifications and strong background in enterprise application development.
* Experience with system integration, web services, and service‑oriented architecture.
* Strong knowledge of ITIL practices and experience in Agile and DevOps methodologies.
* Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to lead multi‑functional teams in resolving complex issues.
