Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Registered Manager to manage a 4-bedded children's home and lead a staff team of nine in delivering high-quality care to young people.
* You will oversee the smooth and efficient management of the home, undertaking wider operational tasks as needed.
* Maintain detailed records, reports, and plans, ensuring timely delivery and demonstrating an organised approach.
* Lead, motivate, and develop all members of the staff team within a positive and open culture, including training delivery.
* Represent the service professionally to external agencies and the local community, contributing to its development.
About You
You must be committed to making a difference in the lives of young people, working with a non-judgmental attitude and considering their views, wishes, and feelings.
* Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Children's Home legislation and inspection requirements for Ofsted, as well as child protection/safeguarding procedures.
* Hold a recognised social work qualification, such as the QCF Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management (Children and Young People) or equivalent.
* Have at least two years' experience in residential care for children, with one year requiring staff supervision and management.
* Be licensed to drive a manual gear car, have access to a business-insured vehicle, and undertake on-call duties.
