About the Team
When you join the Finance team, you'll be joining the cornerstone of our operations, providing crucial guidance and governance to support ARTC's strategic objectives. The team is actively engaged in internal planning to enhance our strategic planning, risk management, and decision-making processes.

About the Opportunity
This role supports ARTC's safety and efficiency objectives by fostering a strong vehicle safety culture and ensuring compliance with Heavy Vehicle National Law, while optimising heavy vehicle use, cost, and performance in line with organisational policies.
Responsibilities:
* Ensure full compliance to Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) through procurement, maintenance, replacement programs, CoR audits, truck modifications / and end of life decommissioning
* Ensure regular reviews and maintenance management of vehicle cranes to ensure 100 % compliance to Chain of Responsibility and safe work practices
* Review and coordinate training for heavy vehicle telematics systems to ensure 100% compliance to Chain of Responsibility (CoR)
* Undertake an annual fleet review to identify possible rationalisation and replacement schedule
* Manage the annual heavy vehicle fleet registration process to meet end user and state transport authorities requirements
* Analyse monthly fleet data and generate management reports as required for heavy vehicles
* Ensure the accuracy and integrity of heavy vehicle fleet databases
* Ensure policies and procedures that relate to the heavy vehicle fleet, human resources and occupational health and safety are effectively practiced and administered and updated
* React and address immediately any heavy vehicle safety notices from regulatory authorities
* Assist and back up the Fleet Manager as required and undertake projects as requested
What do we want from you?
* Minimum MR license with ability to qualify for HR if required
* Mechanical Trade Qualifications
5 years' experience working with a large fleet of heavy vehicles in a multi-site environment
* Knowledge with truck cranes (VLC's) and applications
* Previous experience in CoR, HVNL management and compliance
* Previous experience in Telematics and Fleet systems
* Clear and concise communications skills and the ability to communicate at all levels within a company
* Ability to work as part of a small team
* Ability to fully understand, promote and monitor compliance of ARTC policy and procedure
* Capacity to interpret and discuss vehicle engineering principles and coordinate specialised vehicle building, repairs and ongoing management with vehicle builders and maintainers
