Salary from $66,230 per annum + super + salary packaging
- Permanent full-time opportunity
- Join a values-driven community service provider committed to making a lasting impact

**About Ruah**:
Ruah is a leading values-driven employer in Western Australia's community services sector. Our staff go boldly, not just supporting people in need, but working to end homelessness, end domestic violence and create opportunities for people struggling with poverty and mental health challenges.

Our professional team of operational and corporate services staff is backed by one of WA's biggest Peer support workforces. Our staff reflect our commitment to diversity and inclusion, where difference is valued, celebrated and embraced.

By choosing to work with us, you are helping transform the lives of vulnerable and disadvantaged people in our community.

**About the Role**:
We have an opportunity to work as a Support Worker in the Wongee Mia team.

Our Wongee Mia service model focuses on ensuring people who are sleeping rough are linked into appropriate services to help them find and maintain suitable long-term accommodation. Wongee Mia has four key functions:

- Wongee Mia works with multiple Aboriginal families.
- These families have experienced intergenerational homelessness and poverty, with many of them sleeping rough or without stable accommodation for years.
- It aims to break the cycle of evictions resulting from overcrowding and anti-social behaviour which reflect the large number of family members who are homeless and who rely on those who are housed for shelter.
- The program grew from a single housed individual and expanded its caseload to include those family members who put his tenancy at risk. The aim was to address homelessness in the wider family, identifying them as people in need rather than seeing them as a "problem". This has developed into a close working relationship across a large, interconnected family (both housed and homeless) with strong connections to family Elders for advice and guidance.

The role provides support, engagement, and assertive support, interventions to clients to assist them in improving their mental health, general health, and social wellbeing, accessing, and maintaining housing, improving their quality of life, maximising self-management, independence, and participation in the community.

Please refer to the position description for further details.

This is a full-time permanent position.

**What do we offer?**:

- A salary aligned with Level 2 of the Ruah Enterprise Agreement (and the SCHADS Award), starting at $66,230.
- 5 weeks annual leave + Annual leave loading of 17.5% (for award-based staff)
- 16 weeks paid parental leave, with flexibility to take at 32 weeks half-pay (uniquely, new staff can access 4 weeks paid parental leave after just 6 months' service).
- Free, independent and confidential access for you and your family to our Employee Assistance Program.
- Free Ruah-paid Journey Cover (insurance for when you're getting to and from work).
- Incredibly valuable Salary Packaging (to extend your take home pay) with:

- up to $15,900 core packaging
- an additional $2,650 in meal entertainment packaging

**How to apply**:
