About the Role:
This role involves providing trauma-informed services that achieve positive outcomes for young people and their families. You will be responsible for guiding them through life skills development and personal growth, while also ensuring their safety and stability.
Your Key Responsibilities:
* Mentor and engage young people, guiding them through life skills development and personal growth
* Provide hands-on support with day-to-day tasks like meal prep, shopping, and housekeeping to ensure a safe and stable environment
* Collaborate with a vibrant team to tailor services that meet the specific needs of each young person
* Safeguard their wellbeing by reporting any concerns to ensure they're safe and supported

Requirements:
* Diploma in Community Services or Youth Work or a related field
* Demonstrated experience in youth services or residential care
* Deep understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and a commitment to cultural competency
* Trauma-informed approach to working with young people facing significant challenges
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage, motivate, and support youth effectively
* Valid and current Driver's Licence
* Valid and current Workers with Children's Check
* Valid and current NDIS Workers Screeners Check
