Rehabilitation Therapist - Mental Health Service
This is an exciting opportunity to join our multidisciplinary team as we open a new, state-of-the-art mental health rehabilitation service. As an Occupational Therapist within our Central Adelaide Local Health Network, you will work closely with inpatient, community, and rehabilitation services to enhance consumer outcomes, focusing on independence, skill development, and community integration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide evidence-based assessments, consultations, and interventions to support consumers in their recovery journey.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
* Deliver individual and group interventions, discharge planning, and coordinate clinical care.
You will have the opportunity to contribute to improving clinical outcomes through ongoing professional development, quality improvement, and participation in planning activities. You will also support consumers and their families to overcome barriers and achieve their rehabilitation goals.
About the Role:
* A degree in Occupational Therapy recognized by the Occupational Therapy Board of Australia is essential.
* Strong communication and collaboration skills are required, enabling effective working with consumers, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Experience in mental health and occupational therapy, with a solid understanding of complex consumer needs, therapeutic relationship development, and evidence-based practice is desirable.
