Job Title: Risk Management Specialist
About the Role:
The Audit Manager is responsible for providing objective and independent assurance on the effectiveness of governance, risk management and internal controls within Australian entities. This involves performing audits and advisory services, leveraging business insight to strengthen audit impact and deliver value-added assurance and advisory services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Plan and execute risk-based audits in line with IIA, local regulations and Group standards.
* Keep abreast on regulatory requirements and business changes for Australia and translate changes into targeted audit scopes.
* Deliver clear, timely reports and drive remediation to closure.
* Provide constructive, evidence-based insights that strengthen governance, risk management and internal controls.
Requirements:
* A university degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, Actuarial Science or related field.
* At least 5 years of professional experience in internal audit, compliance, risk management or related functions.
* Knowledge of the Australian insurance market and APRA regulations.
* Management experience in an international/matrix environment.
* Excellent analytical skills, communication and stakeholder management skills.
