Endpoint Engineer

The Opportunity
This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in how Council enables its workforce to work securely, efficiently and confidently every day. As the Endpoint Engineer, you will be a trusted technical specialist within the Information Management and Technology team (IMT), supporting a modern, mobile and digitally enabled organisation. You will work within a collaborative IMT environment alongside experienced engineers and service delivery professionals, partnering closely with cybersecurity, infrastructure, service desk and business stakeholders across Council. Your work directly supports operational delivery and Council's broader cybersecurity objectives.
The team's purpose is to provide secure, standardised and reliable technology services that enable people to do their best work. You will be encouraged to bring your ideas, curiosity and expertise to continuously improve how endpoint services are delivered. You will be supported to take ownership of outcomes, grow your technical capability and contribute to meaningful improvements that have visible impact across the organisation.
This is a permanent full‐time 35‐hour per week position. Salary from $100,466 up to $116,251 per annum plus superannuation. A minimum increase of 3.25% to the salary from 1 July 2026 in accordance with Council's Enterprise Agreement.
What you will be doing
* Configure, manage and secure Council's corporate PC, laptop and Android mobile device fleet
* Deliver modern device management solutions with a strong focus on Microsoft Intune and Windows Autopilot
* Support application deployment, patch management and standardised device configurations
* Provide second and third level technical support for endpoint related issues in a complex hybrid environment
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that uplift endpoint capability across Council
* Work closely with stakeholders to ensure endpoint services align with operational and security needs
* Develop and maintain clear technical documentation to support sustainable service delivery
In your first 12 months, you will play a key role in strengthening endpoint security, improving standardisation, and supporting the ongoing evolution of Council's modern workplace environment.

You are a hands‐on endpoint engineer who enjoys combining engineering discipline with practical delivery. You bring a security‐first mindset and take pride in delivering reliable, well‐documented solutions.
You Are Someone Who
* Has experience managing enterprise endpoint environments using Microsoft Intune, PowerShell scripting and Windows Autopilot
* Is confident supporting Windows device configuration, application deployment and patch management in large organisations
* Enjoys solving complex technical issues and providing second and third level support, communicating clearly with both technical and non‐technical stakeholders
* Takes ownership of outcomes and follows through on commitments
