Join Our Counselling Service Team
Clients include children and their families who have experienced domestic violence, physical abuse, or neglect. They need help to recover from trauma and work towards a safer future.
As a qualified social worker/psychologist you will be part of the Child Protection Counselling Service team at our Nowra Community Health Centre. Your key responsibilities will include:
* Providing comprehensive assessments and therapeutic case management for clients experiencing trauma.
* Developing and implementing individualised treatment plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
* Offering ongoing support and guidance to carers and families to promote healthy coping strategies and resilience.
Our ideal candidate possesses a degree in Social Work, eligibility for the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and extensive experience working with vulnerable populations. A strong understanding of trauma-informed care principles is essential. You must also hold current vaccination requirements for Category A roles and a Working With Children Check (WWCC).
