Culturally Sensitive Child Health Nursing Role
We are seeking a skilled Casual Child and Maternal Health Nurse to join our team in Albury.
As a key member of our healthcare team, you will have the opportunity to deliver culturally sensitive care to Aboriginal children and their families across the Albury Wodonga region.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct health surveillance and screening for children aged 0–6 years old.
* Support parenting through education, counselling, and group sessions.
* Promote early intervention and health promotion among local communities.
* Collaborate with internal teams and external agencies to deliver integrated care services.
* Participate in immunisation programs and advocate for culturally safe healthcare practices.
Requirements:
* Registration as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
* Graduate Certificate in Child and Family Health Nursing or equivalent qualifications.
* Desirable: Midwifery registration and postgraduate qualifications in Child and Family Health.
* Experience working with Aboriginal communities and a commitment to community development initiatives.
* Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.
* Current driver's licence and relevant clearances.
