Supported Independent Living (SIL) is supporting people with disability in shared housing or in their own homes, providing personal care and daily living assistance. The role operates across a 24/7 roster.
Key Responsibilities
* Support clients to engage in hobbies including live music, arts and crafts, and shopping.
* Assist clients with daily personal care such as bathing, shaving and toileting.
* Provide medication assistance and administration.
* Offer mobility assistance – lifting, transferring and hoisting clients.
* Work across a 24/7 roster, including leave cover and active overnight shifts as needed.
* Foster community connection and engagement.
* Empower clients by promoting choice, independence, and participation.
Skills & Experience
* Ability and willingness to drive a work van for client transportation.
* Current unrestricted driver's licence and access to a reliable vehicle.
* Able to navigate apps and digital tools for accurate client record‐keeping.
* A current First Aid Certificate, which includes the course HLTAID003 or HLTAID011.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including a National Criminal History Record Check.
* Pay rates starting from $43.23 (casual) per hour as per the SCHADS Award.
