Managed by global venue management specialist Legends Global, the Centre hosts hundreds of business events every year. With some 23,000 sqm of space for providing service excellence with a dedicated team of professionals, Darwin is an ideal starting point for exploring the Top End.

We are currently looking for experienced and passionate Logistics Supervisor to join us part time at Darwin Convention Centre!
The purpose of this role is to assist in the safe, secure, and efficient day-to-day operation of the Centre, including event logistics, building presentation, and operational compliance.
This will include tasks such as:
* Supporting day-to-day venue operations to ensure a safe, secure, and well-maintained facility
* Leading, rostering, and supervising casual event staff, including team briefings, task allocation, and on-the-job training
* Coordinating event logistics, including staff rostering, contractor management, and bump-in/bump-out activity
* Overseeing freight movements, loading dock operations, and temporary event infrastructure such as power, layouts, and utilities
* Conducting team briefings, task allocation, and on-the-job training to ensure best practice service delivery
* Assisting with WHS compliance, risk management activities, and Emergency Management duties as Chief Warden
* Maintaining Centre equipment and supporting presentation standards in collaboration with the Venue Services team
* Any other tasks or support as directed by the Centre Operations Manager

* Minimum 1 years' experience within a similar role
* Flexibility to work event-based rosters, including evenings and weekends
* Solid understanding in Workplace Health and Safety
* Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and contribute to team leadership
* Ability to use initiative and make sound decisions
* Proven ability to perform under pressure in fast-paced environments
* Experience in client and stakeholder communication
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
* Adaptable and resilient, with excellent time management
* Competent computer skills, including Microsoft Office
* The below qualifications are desired or must be willing to be attained if required:
o Certificate IV in Workplace Health and Safety
o Forklift License
o First Aid Certificate
o CPR Certificate
o Fire Warden Certificate
A satisfactory National Police Records Check is required for this role.
