Gladstone Hospital is an 83-bed hospital and offers a range of general and specialist inpatient and outpatient services including Emergency, General Medicine and Surgery, Basic Orthopaedic, Clinical Investigation, Obstetrics, Maternity, Gynaecology, High Dependency and Coronary Care, Palliative Care, Medical Imaging, Pathology and Paediatrics. Additional services include Mental Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs Service, Oral Health, Physiotherapy, Dietetics, Speech Pathology and outreach/community-based facilities, as well as a Primary Health Care Centre.
About the role
The Clinical Director, Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine Gladstone will be a leader to deliver great care for Central Queenslanders and will influence the delivery of services across Central Queensland Health. They will lead, inspire, and foster excellence in clinical outcomes, scholarship, and staff development. The Clinical Director, Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine Gladstone is responsible for staff across multiple streams including the education and supervision of trainees, students, and staff. The Clinical Director, Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine Gladstone reports to the Director of Medical Services – Gladstone and Banana.
About you
* Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
* Registration or eligibility for registration as a Specialist in Anaesthesia with the Australian Health Practitioner Registration Authority (AHPRA). This will require Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA).
* Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing CME program with the appropriate bodies.
What we offer
Total remuneration value of up to $582,299 p.a. is comprised of:
* A salary rate between $259,072 - $274,678 p.a. (L25-L27)
* A salary rate between $216,643 - $251,642 p.a. (L18-L24)
* 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
