About the Role:
We are seeking an HVAC Systems Specialist to provide operational maintenance, repairs and services to air conditioning systems, controlled temperature environments, and refrigeration systems installed throughout Defence buildings, structures, and infrastructure.
This role ensures the optimal functionality and operational efficiency of these systems to support Defence operations and personnel.
* Conduct regular preventative maintenance of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, refrigeration systems, and controlled temperature environments.
* D diagnose and repair faults in HVAC systems to maintain optimal performance and prevent system failures.
* Install new HVAC systems and components as required, ensuring all installations comply with relevant safety and regulatory standards.
* Monitor and adjust system controls to ensure efficient operation and compliance with designated temperature settings.
* Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work, including details of parts used and work performed.
* Respond promptly to emergency repair requests to minimise downtime and disruption to operations.
* Collaborate with other maintenance and engineering teams to resolve complex issues and optimise system performance.
* FOLLOW ALL SAFETY PROTOCOLS AND PROCEDURES TO ENSURE A SAFE WORKING ENVIRONMENT.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A current Australian Refrigeration Mechanic Trade qualification, demonstrating a solid foundation in HVAC systems maintenance and repair.
* Demonstrated experience with chilled water systems and all components including chillers, air handling units and BMS control systems.
* Proficiency in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment.
* ArcTick Refrigerant Handling Licence.
* Restricted or Open Electrical Licence.
* Valid driver's licence.
* You must be an Australian Citizen and able to obtain and maintain a Defence Security Clearance.
