Experienced Database & Reporting Lead - 6m ContractSQL and OracleWell-known Australian BrandDatabase & Reporting Lead needed for a 6 Month Contract to start immediately.
The role will be responsible for ongoing operational excellence of database and reporting platforms.
The platforms are used to provide capabilities to critical applications and data insights for the business.
The team own and manage all SQL and Oracle databases hosted across both on-prem and Azure cloud.THE ROLE•Improve life cycle practices for SQL and Oracle databases.•Execute Service Management processes and lead the service delivery for incidents, problems, change and requests related to Database and Reporting platforms•Provide technical guidance to other database analysts and wider team members•Participate and contribute in the development of the Database and Reporting strategy and roadmapConsolidate multiple reporting platforms•Help develop database reporting strategies•Support the Technology Infrastructure team as they navigate a large change program•Help maintain production systems with a focus on scalability, and adaptability•Build and maintain professional relationships at all levels of business stakeholders•Be aware of enterprise level Database and Reporting technologies, solutions and changing / emerging industry trends•Work closely with data analytics, data engineering to build governance processes•Continuous help with the current infrastructure transformation roadmapincluding setting standards, vendor management, project delivery and evaluating technology vendor optionsTHE PERSON•Certificate III/IV or Diploma or other IT related qualificationsITIL framework certifications ideal•SQL and/or Oracle Database certifications•Knowledge and exposure to Power BI & Azure•Strong stakeholder engagement skills•Ability to build professional relationships at all levels•Demonstrable experience of working with SQL, Oracle, Power BI and Azure•Database design, BI, reporting and infrastructure background
