The role:

Tassal is seeking a reliable and motivated Casual Processing Attendant to join our rendering plant team in Triabunna, located on Tasmania's stunning East Coast. This is a hands‐on role where you'll play a key part in processing salmon by‐products, maintaining equipment, and ensuring smooth plant operations.

Working within a dynamic and safety‐focused team, you'll take on a variety of tasks, including quality checks, pressure washing, and general processing duties. This position offers a rotating roster of 4 days on, 4 days off (12‐hour shifts), providing an excellent work‐life balance while contributing to Australia's leading aquaculture business.

Responsibilities:

* Assist in the processing of salmon by‐products, ensuring efficiency and quality standards.
* Perform cleaning and sanitation tasks, including pressure washing and equipment maintenance.
* Conduct quality checks and follow strict hygiene and safety protocols.
* Operate machinery and assist with general plant operations as required.
* Work collaboratively with the team to meet daily production targets.
* Follow all workplace health and safety guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.

Role requirements:

* Team player with strong communication and a positive attitude.
* Forklift license (or willingness to obtain one) – training can be provided.
* Valid driver's licence (for reliable travel to and from work).
* Reliable, punctual, and willingness to learn – no prior experience required, full training provided.
* General reading and writing skills with basic maths.
* General computer skills including Microsoft Office applications.
* Ability to work rotating shifts (day/night, 6am–6pm / 6pm–6am).
* Previous experience in aquaculture, manufacturing, or labouring.
* Full working rights in Australia.
