The Store person plays a key role in supporting warehouse operations within a printing and paper supply environment. This role focuses on the accurate receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatching of print-related materials such as paper reels, cut sheets, packaging products, and print consumables. The position requires strong attention to detail, safe manual-handling ability, and efficient time management to support smooth warehouse workflow. Key Responsibilities Receiving & Inventory Control Receive, check, and unload incoming stock including paper pallets, print consumables, and packaging materials. Inspect all deliveries for damage, quantity discrepancies, and correct product codes. Use RF scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS) to record inventory movements. Assist with stock replenishment and maintain accurate stock levels. Picking, Packing & Dispatch Pick and pack customer orders accurately according to delivery schedules and product specifications. Handle paper reels, sheets, cartons, and fragile print materials with care to avoid damage. Prepare and label pallets for dispatch, ensuring orders are correctly wrapped, secured, and documented. Load and unload trucks following safe manual-handling procedures. Equipment Operation Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material‑handling equipment (high‑reach experience is advantageous). Move and store heavy paper pallets and bulk stock safely and efficiently. Conduct daily equipment checks and report maintenance issues. Warehouse Maintenance & Safety Maintain a clean, organised, and hazard‑free warehouse environment. Follow all WHS procedures, manual-handling guidelines, and company safety policies. Participate in stock takes, cycle counts, and continuous improvement activities.
