WHO YOU ARE
You are a commercially astute and technically skilled finance leader with a proven ability to drive business performance and lead high-performing teams. You bring sound judgement, strategic thinking, and excellent communication skills to every challenge, with the ability to collaborate across departments and influence decision-making at all levels.
To succeed in this role, you’ll have:
* CA or CPA qualification (essential), with tertiary degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline
* At least 7 years’ experience in finance, including 5+ years in a senior financial or accounting role
* A background in construction, property development, or project-based environments
* Strong expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, compliance, and forecasting
* Demonstrated ability in cash flow management, capital planning, and scenario modelling
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
* A passion for continuous improvement and innovation, with a strategic mindset
* Proven expertise in financial systems and processes, accompanied by proficiency in both office and financial software (ie. Jobpac)
* Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and unify a diverse finance team with strong interpersonal and leadership skills
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Reporting to the CFO, you will lead a team of finance and accounting professionals and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial systems and processes. You will act as a key business partner across operational and corporate teams, providing insights that drive growth, efficiency, and long-term success.
You will:
* Lead strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting across group and project entities
* Deliver scenario modelling and investment analysis to support key decisions
* Oversee treasury functions including cash flow forecasting and working capital optimisation
* Ensure statutory and regulatory compliance, including financial risk and insurance oversight
* Lead the development of financial policies and controls
* Provide commercial insights and board-level reporting aligned to business goals
* Mentor, develop, and inspire a team of accountants and finance officers as you champion a culture of accountability and innovation.
* Provide commercial finance leadership across business units and influence decision-making with accurate and timely insights.
* Design a training plan and coordinate support to non-finance teams on budgeting, forecasting, and financial literacy.
