Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, the role is responsible for planning and coordinating the day-to-day fleet operations across all branch locations in QLD, VIC and NSW.You will be accountable for overseeing fleet maintenance, cost management, efficient and cost-effective operations, fleet policies and procedures, compliance, safety, meeting performance targets, and upholding the company’s reputation and ethical company culture.Key responsibilitiesFleet management and strategy including vehicle maintenance, fuel and other related costs, fleet optimisation, sustainability and technology implementation.Vehicle maintenance and operations including maintenance scheduling, tracking, repairs, fuel consumption, prevention programs, fleet logistics, reporting, fleet policies and processes.Compliance and legal including regulatory compliance with relevant laws, regulations and industry standards, manage fleet insurance, documentation and accurate records.Training staff on damage, and all relevant fleet policy and procedures.Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.Advocate company values.A performance driven culture, where over achievements including positive fuel and RACQ recoveries may be rewarded with bonus, you will benefit from market competitive remuneration and have access to discounted products, wellness initiatives and an Employee Assistance Program (EAP).Selection criteriaValid Queensland Driver’s Licence, with an ability and willingness to travel between all Car Hire locations.Available to work occasional weekends to support Operations activities.Lead and motivate people including mechanics, drivers and others.Mechanical sense about cars, development and implementation of long-term fleet strategies optimising operations.Systems and process oriented proficient in technologies for fleet tracking, maintenance and data analysis.Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance, repair procedures, and developed cost effective maintenance programs.Knowledge of and adherence to laws and regulations maintaining compliance.Data analysis to identify trends, optimise operations and make data driven decisions.Fuel management having implemented fuel-efficient strategies.Initiative and communication skills, both written and verbal for interacting with employees, vendors and other stakeholders.Adaptability for adapting to new technologies and changing regulations in a constantly evolving landscape.Demonstrated commitment to cultural diversity and a working knowledge of equity and WHS principles in the workplace.If this opportunity resonates with your career aspirations, demonstrated knowledge, skills, and work experiences, please submit a one-page Cover Letter detailing how you meet the key criteria listed within.We ask all applicants to apply directly and thank you for your interest.
