About the Role
This internship is designed for students seeking to enhance their skills and knowledge in a dynamic and supportive environment.
As a Design Assistant, you will play a key role in assisting the design team with client requests and project requirements.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
* Supporting team members with project tasks and escalating issues to senior staff when necessary.
* Building relationships with peers in other business units.
* Learning technical aspects of design projects, including site analysis and design documentation.
* Presenting and communicating design outcomes using freehand or computer-aided programs.
* Contributing to multi-disciplinary projects, meeting specifications, deadlines, and budgets.
* Preparing weekly timesheets and inputting to monthly accounts.
You will have the opportunity to work on a range of services, including site analysis, council approval processes, and illustrative plan production.
Additionally, you will assist with the development of proposals and tenders for potential clients and projects.
Key qualifications and skills required for this role include:
* A tertiary course in Environments and/or Design.
* Some office experience is desirable but not essential.
* Proven skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and effective report writing skills.
