About the role
Our Host Employer, Siemens Energy, develop the energy systems of the future, ensuring that the growing energy demand of the global community is met reliably and sustainably. Siemens are seeking a 1st Year Maintenance Fitter Apprentice to work towards a Certificate III in Engineering. This is a fantastic opportunity to get your apprenticeship career start with a global organisation.
Some of the things you may do are:
* Learn to diagnose faults in mechanical systems
* Dismantling, repairing and reassembling components such as pumps, gearboxes, bearings and conveyors
* Reading and interpreting drawings, manuals and maintenance schedules
* Assisting qualified Trades and keeping the workshop clean and tidy
* MIG and Stig welding
* Learning to operate a lathe, pedestal grinder, and various other hand/power tools and equipment
Location: Clovelly ParkHours of Work: 7.00am – 3.00pm, Monday - Friday

About you
* Australian Citizen or permanent resident with the right to work in Australia
* You must be committed to a 4 stage/year apprenticeship
