Domestic Violence Case Manager Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate professional to join our team as a Domestic Violence Case Manager. This role is focused on providing critical support to individuals and families experiencing domestic violence, with the goal of ensuring their safety and promoting recovery.
Key Responsibilities:
* Establish effective relationships with clients to encourage self-determination and participation
* Provide case management support that addresses immediate safety and recovery needs
* Complete comprehensive risk assessments and safety planning using MARAM framework
* Ongoing assessment of client's issues, needs, and circumstances from initial intake to exit
* Develop individual case plans in collaboration with clients, incorporating various interventions to address their needs or goals
* Implement case plans with active client participation
* Assist clients in accessing support services and establishing community supports, and advocate with service providers as needed
* Monitor and review progress and outcomes of individual case plans, taking action to ensure plans continue to meet client needs or goals
About You:
* You are an experienced domestic violence professional with a deep understanding of timely and effective service provision
* You possess a compassionate nature, approachability, and well-developed communication skills
* Your experience and qualifications for this role should include a degree qualification in social work, welfare, community development, or a related field; relevant experience in a social service environment; and previous experience working with individuals and families experiencing trauma
