Job Details
Based at our Head Office in Barton, as a Financial Accountant at Omni Executive, you will play a key role in supporting the Financial Controller to deliver accurate financial and taxation reporting within a strong financial control environment. You will oversee daily financial administration, treasury activities, statutory reporting, and contribute to maintaining high-quality financial systems and controls.
Working closely with internal stakeholders, external service providers, and a small finance team, you'll provide trusted financial guidance, support payroll and audit processes, and help drive continuous improvement across the division.
Key Responsibilities
* Maintain a robust financial control environment, including cashflow management and treasury operations.
* Prepare statutory financial statements, ATO reporting, and provide audit support.
* Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, asset controls, and financial system accuracy.
* Mentor and support junior finance staff, contributing to performance, development, and wellbeing.
* Partner with internal stakeholders, including Divisional Managers and Payroll, to ensure timely financial and staff payment processes.
* Identify opportunities to improve financial processes, strengthen controls, and support organisational risk management.

You will be an experienced finance professional with strong technical accounting skills, a commitment to accuracy, and the confidence to operate in a dynamic environment. You bring sound judgement, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build constructive relationships across all levels of the organisation while supporting a small, high-performing team.
Essential Requirements
The below key requirements are required to be demonstrated by all employees to Omni:
* Australian citizenship
* Ability to obtain and hold a current NV1 Australian Government Security Clearance (minimum)
* Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
* Qualification (or near completion) as a CPA or Chartered Accountant
* Tertiary qualifications in a related discipline such as Economics, Commerce, or Accounting
* Five (5) years' experience in a similar field
Additional requirements for this role:
* Proficiency in working with modern financial accounting applications
* Understanding of financial control environments
* Experience preparing Tier 2 Simplified Disclosure financial statements
* Competence in the Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
