Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Director to lead our cost management team.
* Client Interface: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring excellent service delivery.
* Team Leadership: Lead and mentor cost management team leaders, fostering a high-performing culture.
* Training & Compliance: Ensure all team members have current, relevant training and adhere to SOX controls and company management systems.
* Project Delivery: Oversee timely, high-quality delivery of cost management outputs, including review and sign-off of all management information.
* Market Knowledge: Apply deep experience in the Australian construction market to guide project and team success.
* Business Development: Drive client acquisition and retention through effective tender management and business development strategies.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* Industry Experience: 15+ years of relevant experience, ideally within the infrastructure sector.
* Sector Expertise: Strong background in aviation, rail or power & utilities projects.
* Strategic Insight: Proven ability to implement growth strategies aligned with local market dynamics.
* Professional Credentials: Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar; additional accreditations (e.g. RICS, AIQS, CIOB, APM) are advantageous.
* Technical Proficiency: Skilled in estimating software such as CostX, Expert Estimator or equivalent.
* Communication & Leadership: Excellent written and verbal English skills, with a track record of producing high-quality reports and leading high-performing teams.
