About the BusinessBombay Bliss (Beerwah) is a well-established Indian restaurant that has been proudly serving authentic North and South Indian cuisine since 2016. Our restaurant is known for its commitment to high-quality food, consistent flavours, and an excellent dining experience, while preserving traditional Indian cooking techniques and recipes. With a growing customer base and strong local reputation, Bombay Bliss is seeking an experienced Cook with proven skills in traditional Indian cuisine to support ongoing operations and maintain its culinary standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Experience in Preparing and cooking a wide range of traditional North and South Indian dishes for À la carte and buffet setting.
* Support the Chef in developing new menu items while maintaining authenticity and improving existing recipes
* Should Ensure food quality, presentation, and taste consistency at all times
* Have good idea on Australian health and safety regulations and maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness at the restaurant.
* Perform kitchen duties like arranging ingredients, cutting vegetables etc as directed by the Head Chef or management
* Work effectively on both hot and cold sections of the kitchen
* Assist with training and supervising kitchen hand staff and apprentices when required
Required Qualifications and Experience
* Minimum 2 years of professional experience as a Cook
* Relevant recognised qualification in Commercial Cookery or Hotel Management
* Strong knowledge and passion for North and South Indian cuisine
* Good understanding of Indian spices, ingredients, and their appropriate usage
* Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
* Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
