National Business Manager – Grocery (Sydney | Fulltime | Hybrid)

Reporting to the Head of Emerging Channels & Grocery, this is a high‐impact role with ownership of the total Grocery channel P&L e.g. Woolworths, Coles and Discounters. You'll lead a talented team, partner closely with our customers, and drive sustainable growth through strong commercial discipline, category leadership, and execution excellence.
This role suits a commercially astute leader who thrives in complex retail environments and enjoys balancing strategy with hands‐on delivery.
What you'll be responsible for
* Owning and delivering the Grocery channel P&L, including sales, profit, market share whilst optimising trade spend investment and efficiency across the channel
* Developing and executing channel strategies aligned with business objectives and customer priorities
* Leading, coaching and developing a national grocery team, including National Account Managers and a National Account Executive
* Driving forecast accuracy, demand planning discipline and bias management as the single source of truth for Grocery
* Setting clear category visions and ambitions for the channel, and supporting account leads to develop compelling, insight‐led range reviews and customer proposals
* Building trusted, strategic partnerships with Grocery customers
* Negotiate at senior levels – both internally and externally – to secure optimal outcomes that balance profitability, innovation and customer value
* Collaborating cross‐functionally with Category, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance and Insights to deliver channel strategy
* Leading and contributing to commercial transformation and capability uplift initiatives across the business

What you'll bring
* Proven senior commercial leadership experience within Grocery retail (Woolworths/Coles experience essential)
* Strong P&L ownership, trade investment management and negotiation capability
* Demonstrated success growing revenue and profit in complex, matrix organisations
* A collaborative leadership style with a track record of developing high‐performing teams
* Strategic mindset to develop channel strategy with the ability to support your team to execute at pace
* Confidence using digital tools and data to drive insights, efficiency and decision making
