The role:
As Finance Manager, you'll be the financial lead across a group of entities, ensuring robust financial control, strategic cash flow management, and insightful reporting. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment and is ready to elevate the finance function to support business growth.
Key responsibilities:
* Oversee finance operations across multiple entities, trusts, and investments
* Lead month-end close, internal controls, and group-level reporting
* Maintain and model a 13-week rolling cash flow forecast
* Deliver accurate P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reporting
* Manage compliance including BAS, PAYG, super, insurance, and year-end obligations
* Align financial data with job costing systems (e.g. Nexvia) and project forecasts
* Lead and develop finance staff, fostering collaboration and performance
About you:
You're a commercially minded finance professional who understands the nuances of construction, retail, and property investment. You're proactive, detail-oriented, and confident in communicating financial insights to senior stakeholders.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to influence and inform
* Experience with WIP, inventory, and project-based financials
* A collaborative mindset and leadership experience
* A hands-on approach to financial operations and compliance
Skills and experience:
* Proven experience in a Finance Manager or similar role
* Solid understanding of Australian compliance requirements (BAS, PAYG, Super, etc.)
* Experience with multi-entity reporting and consolidations
* Familiarity with construction or project-based industries
* Ability to lead teams and implement process improvements
