Occupational Therapist Job Description
This is a senior clinical leadership position within the occupational therapy service provision. The successful candidate will be responsible for optimising patient/client care delivery and supporting the mentoring and development of staff.
About the Role
The Occupational Therapist will work in a dynamic team environment, providing specialist services to support the recovery and well-being of consumers in the community. The role involves working with young people, children, adults, and older people, as well as providing leadership and support to staff.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide senior clinical leadership in the development and implementation of occupational therapy service plans.
* Support the mentoring and development of staff to ensure high-quality patient care delivery.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement strategies that promote consumer well-being and recovery.
* Contribute to the development of policies and procedures that support the delivery of occupational therapy services.
Requirements
* Bachelor or postgraduate degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA.
* Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge and significant experience in the provision of occupational therapy services.
* Excellent negotiation, decision-making, and advocacy skills, including collaborative stakeholder consultation.
* Current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
