Responsibilities
Assist in the design and drafting of road and highway infrastructure projects.
Support senior engineers in preparing detailed drawings, reports, and specifications.
Conduct site inspections and surveys to gather necessary project data.
Collaborate with others within the team and external consultants to deliver engineered solutions.
Ensure compliance with Australian design standards and environmental regulations.
Contribute to project planning, cost estimation, and risk assessments.
Participate in client meetings and communicate project progress effectively.
Maintain accurate project documentation and engineering records.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
Knowledge of road, highway, and active transport design principles.
Familiarity with Australian design standards (e.g., Austroads, RMS guidelines).
Proficiency in engineering software such as Openroads, Civil 3D, AutoCAD, or MicroStation.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
