As a key member of our team, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Technician to join us in preparing vehicles for sale or collection.
This role is perfect for a technician from an independent garage background who's used to working on multiple manufacturers and is looking to take the next step in their career.
The Role
Your day-to-day role will be to carry out scheduled maintenance, servicing, and repairs across a variety of makes and models, as well as prepare vehicles for handover.
You'll bring efficiency, accuracy, and attention to detail, ensuring vehicles are prepared to the highest standards before they leave our premises.
Key Responsibilities:
* Carry out multi-point inspections, servicing, and repair work on a wide range of vehicle makes and models
* Identify and complete any required mechanical, electrical, or cosmetic repairs to manufacturer standards
* Diagnose and resolve faults across different systems using diagnostic tools and technical information
* Ensure all vehicles are prepared in line with safety regulations, MOT standards, and customer expectations
* Work efficiently to agreed deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and quality of work
* Accurately complete job cards, inspection sheets, and relevant workshop documentation
Requirements:
To thrive in this role, you will need:
* A minimum Level 2 IMI qualification (or equivalent) in Light Vehicle Maintenance
* Solid experience working with multiple vehicle manufacturers and models – independent garage experience is valued
* Strong diagnostic and repair skills across mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems
* Ability to work under pressure while maintaining accuracy and quality
* A proactive, can-do attitude and commitment to high standards
