Job Description
The York Hotel in Kalgoorlie is seeking a motivated Cook to join our vibrant team. In this fulltime role, you will be responsible for assisting our experienced chefs in the preparation and service of delicious meals for our valued customers. Successful applicants must be available to work weekdays, weekends, evenings, rotating shifts, and public holidays as required.
Responsibilities
* Assist with the preparation, cooking, and presentation of a range of menu items
* Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organization in the kitchen
* Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations
* Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment
Qualifications
* Must have previous experience in a similar role as a cook in a short order kitchen
* Strong time management and multitasking skills
* Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards
* Preparing and cooking a variety of lunch and dinner dishes from our menu, ensuring presentation and promptness
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Food safety and hygiene certification (desirable)
* Must have Australian work authorisation and the legal right to work in Australia
