Lawyer/Associate – Projects, Infrastructure & Construction at Piper Alderman

The role
We are seeking an experienced projects and construction Lawyer or Associate with 2-4 years post-admission experience to join our busy and successful Projects & Construction team in our Melbourne office.
You will work closely with two partners, Geoffrey Emmett and Ben McLeod, on a wide range of high-quality construction work (both front-end and back-end).
Demonstrate solid expertise in drafting commercial and litigation documents, providing commercial legal advice, and be commercially astute.

You will be exposed to a range of projects, construction and infrastructure work, and clients including head contractors, developers, consultants and subcontractors.
An excellent CLE program will underpin your learning experience and the opportunity to build relationships within our National Projects & Construction team and gain exposure to work across Australia.
To succeed in this role you will ideally have
Experience as an admitted lawyer with 2-4 years PQE experience within projects and construction
Exposure to both front-end and back-end work is essential and front-end work is desirable
A strong academic record coupled with excellent technical legal skills
A commitment to excellence and delivery of high-quality outcomes to our clients
Ability to effectively manage your own time, managing competing tasks and at times working to tight deadlines
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong attention to detail
A proactive and 'can-do' attitude with an eagerness to learn and grow your career with Piper Alderman
