The role
Construction Sciences is a leading construction materials testing company in Australia, operating across multiple sites between Australia and New Zealand.
We are looking for an experienced CMT to step up into a 2IC role at the Fyshwick location. This hands‐on role involves laboratory and field work on major construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Support the Laboratory Manager as the 2IC, helping to lead the laboratory and wider team.
- Carry out soil and concrete testing in the laboratory and on site.
- Prepare accurate records, results and reports.
- Perform physical/manual tasks on construction sites.
- Provide reliable, professional service to construction clients.

Qualifications
- Experience as a Certified Materials Technician (CMT) with a strong work ethic.
- Strong communication skills and a cooperative team attitude.
- Australian or New Zealand citizenship, permanent residency, or unrestricted long‐term work rights in Australia.
- Physically capable of working on construction sites and in a laboratory.
- Current driver's licence with unrestricted Australian working rights.
