Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Accounts Payable/Payroll Officer based in Mount Cotton, QLD. The role involves managing accounts payable processes, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely payments. The Payroll Officer responsibilities include end to end payroll responsibilities including maintaining payroll records, processing employee timesheets, weekly and fortnightly payroll (150+ employees) calculating payroll taxes, and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in managing Accounts Payable processes, including invoice processing, account reconciliation, and payment systems
* Experience in Payroll management, such as employee timesheet processing, payroll tax calculations, and compliance with relevant regulations
* Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
* Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking
* Excellent communication skills for collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
* A relevant qualification in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred
* Prior experience in the construction or quarrying industry is advantageous
